Default Notifications, Etc.

I'm a message board junkie and regularly hangout on at least a half-dozen for various subjects. I joined this one years ago when first looking at Vettes and am back now and more serious and am really enjoying and appreciative of all the great people here. I'm noticing the notifications are a bit different than all the other boards I frequent - is there no way to be notified of a post quote or like when I login? Fwiw, I really don't want an email each time but it's nice to see the recent activity on threads I've been active in on my notifications (with the bell icon - upper right). Also, it's odd/uncommon that when I go back to a section of listed threads, the topic is grayed out even though there have been recent posts since I posted or last logged in. I've looked through the settings pretty extensively but may have missed some things.

The quickest way to find any replies to your posts is to click on your User Name and in the drop down, click on Find More Posts by (your username). That will take you to a list of all your Posts. When you click on any of those, you will be taken to a Thread you replied to. At the top right of those Threads is a Search This Thread. When you click on that, enter your User name and click on Go. Thst will show all replies to your posts. You need to do that for each of your Posts.

The quote notification is currently not an available option. It was never a feature of the core software, which was the leading community-based software for its time, but if feedback supports it then it might be possible for such a feature to be implemented down the road.

Regarding grayed out topics, all topics are automatically defaulted to read (grayed out) if not read within 10 days. The software temporarily saves read/unread in a temporary database so that if you use more than one device, the read/unread are synced between all devices. Not all software does this, as many use a system similar that keeps unread topics but not able to sync across all devices. There is a trade-off, given the amount of members and amount of threads CorvetteForum has, as CorvetteForum has nearly 4 million threads and half-million members.
