My Dad Passed Away Recently.
My Dad, Bob "Pete" Schooler Sr. of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away today at the age of 85. Fought for several years a battle with Parkinsons Disease and eventually had a stroke last Saturday that put him in the E.R. and subsequently, Hospice. He was not a so called Car Guy, by any means, but I can remember him having some pretty sharp cars over the years. I've seen pics of a '57 chevy 2 door, a '65 or '66 Chevy Impala, and one I remember, a 2 door '70 Impala fastback, dark blue with a dark blue vinyl top. Plus a few others over the years. He always liked my cars, no matter what I had, he always thought it was nicer than the next guys.LOL
I'll miss him.

Sorry to learn of the loss of your father. I lost mine 11 years ago. I still miss him very much, but the memories no longer hurt. I am amazed at all the things he taught me. It sounds like you had a wonderful relationship with your dad. I'm sure he was very proud of you, too.

Sorry to read this. Prayers for you, for peace and comfort, at a time like this. On a side note, maybe buy and restore a car similiar to what your Father had, as a tribute to him. My Dad passed away back in '98, he used to have a 86 Buick Regal, lite blue. He loved that car, but was not a car guy. I have just recently thought about getting one just like his to drive around in.

I am very sorry to hear about your dad. I lost my dad last October, and there hasn't been a day that goes by that I don't think about him. My dad had a stroke over three years ago and he was making a great come back. Then this last October he had another stroke that took away everything he had worked so hard to get back and then some. Two weeks later he was gone. My dad was psuedo car guy like yours as well, he liked all the cool projects I worked on for my own cars and also some of the more high tech stuff I do today in my shop.
May your dad rest in peace and God bless.....

I am sorry to hear about you and your family's loss. I lost my father on Feb 5 2011 so I can relate to the pain that you feel. I find as time goes on I miss him more and more and I would give anything to talk with him again. May you find peace and enjoyment in your memories of him and may God bless you and your family.

Thank you all for your condolences. Its amazing how just a few words from Corvette brothers and sisters can make you feel so much better.
I will see my dad again sometime in the future, and I hope all of you see your loved ones again when the time comes.

So sorry to hear of your loss!
My dad passed in 1997 at 49 and the last memory of him I have is a cruise we took in my '78. Perfect September day, just me and him driving around town chatting about life!
People wonder why I love that car so much!
