RIP - USA1 427 (Rich)
It is with a great sadness I report the passing of our long-term forum member USA1 427. Rich passed away May 16, 2024, just one week shy of 51 years of marriage to his loving wife, Darlene. He was 77.
Rich was a deep family man and a Navy veteran that loved his country.
I never had the pleasure of meeting him but I will miss seeing his comments on here, and I know he'll be missed by family and friends all over. His slightly curmudgeonly outlook with his posts made him all the more endearing in my mind. He loved to post about his Corvette and his grandkids, and wasn't afraid to express his opinion.

I'm deeply saddened to hear about Rich's passing. Even though I never had the chance to meet him in person, his presence on this forum was always felt. His posts were not just informative but also carried a warmth and authenticity that made them special. Rich's love for his Corvette and his family shone through in everything he shared. He was a true patriot, and his service to our country as a Navy veteran is something we all deeply respect and honor.
His slightly curmudgeonly outlook added a unique charm to his posts, making them memorable and endearing. It's clear he touched many lives, and his absence will be felt by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to Darlene and the rest of his family during this difficult time. Rich's legacy will live on through the memories we all have of him and the contributions he made to this community. Rest in peace, Rich. You'll be missed.
