RIP HP Bushrod/Chuck Ford

Most of you knew him as H P Bushrod, his Forum user ID. Many of us knew him as Chuck Ford, a friend who always had a kind word and encouraging comments. Some of you may have known him as Lt. Ford with the Blount County Sheriff's Office in Maryville, TN. He also served as a master sergeant in the Air National Guard. He was 62.

Chuck was a regular participant when CorvetteForum community members made a vist to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis to pass along funds you contributed to the hospital through the Forum for childhood cancer research. He referred to CorvetteForum community members as being his extended family and typically referred to us as "Brother." Chuck loved C4s and owned several through the years. He loved music (particularly soul and classic rock) and was a regular contributor to the Song thread in CFOT.
His sense of humor could be counted on to bring a smile to your face in almost any circumstances. By way of example, when one of our Corvette friends was murdered by her husband about 12 years ago, Chuck cheered us up by telling us he had connections at the state prison and would make sure our friend's killer got "a good cellmate."
Chuck told us five months ago that he was "down but not out" following his cancer diagnosis and asked for our prayers as his doctors worked on a plan to fight his illness.
Chuck, we lost you much too soon. We commend to God the soul of our Corvette brother. RIP Lt. Chuck Ford.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Let him pass in safety through the gates of death, and live forever with all Your saints in the light You promised to Abraham and to all his descendants in faith.
Guard him from all harm and on that great day of resurrection and reward, raise him up with all Your saints.
Pardon his sins and give him eternal life in Your kingdom. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen

RIP HP Bushrod
