My husband of 46 years, Randy Larrison, bravely battled ALS, but there were still no medical advancements to help him win, and he lost that fight on Oct 3rd. I will miss him every day.
Randy loved his Corvettes, and just about every other Corvette he ever saw! He liked talking about them, working on them, cleaning them, and especially driving them. I bought him a sign that says it all - "I have OCD. Obsessive Corvette Disorder."
He bought his first Corvette, a 1985 blue, when visiting relatives in Indianapolis. He kept it for about 25 years.
He bought his second Corvette while we were on vacation. It was a 1987 gold Corvette that we found in Golden, CO. He thought that was fate.
He bought his 1996 silver Collectors Edition Corvette 300 miles from our home, but it ended up being one block from one of our previous homes.
This was not the last trip we took to buy a Corvette!
Randy bought his first car and started working on it at the age of 14. He enjoyed fixing the cars, and then he started experimenting with bodywork and paint. He completely restored a 1964 GTO while in high school. His hobby made him a natural to work for a car manufacturer, where he was in charge of Supplier Quality for almost every part except the body.
He read all of the road tests that he could, and would remember so many facts. He could tell you the model and year of a car from a distance, just by looking at the taillights, or the headlights, or the gills on the fender, etc. He enjoyed talking to other car enthusiasts about their cars, and sharing stories about his cars.
He accumulated so much knowledge over the years, and shared that knowledge with so many. I am so thankful to everyone on the Corvette Forum for welcoming Randy into this group. I will be forever grateful.
Mrs Larrison, I am very sorry for the passing of your Corvette loving husband Randy.
I did not know him or of his love of all cars, mostly Corvettes. But he will never be forgotten by those who knew him and of his love and knowledge for Corvettes.

Rest in Peace Randy. Thank you for all of your contributions and love for the Corvette Community. I know you are up there doing a huge burnout with some of the greatest to ever do it!
