Hi everyone, from lower half of the world - New Zealand. I have been toying with the idea of buying a 65 to 67 Corvette for a number of years now and have decided this year to “get on with it”.
So at the moment I'm probably classed as BC (before Corvette).
After the passing of the big 50 a few years ago, I figured I’d better own one of these cars, before the reflexes start slowing down, my mind goes, they take my licence off me and I have to start eating soft foods !
I remember when I was in my late teens a friend of a cousin, brought one back here.
Being offered a ride and going for a ripper of a blast on some back country roads has remained a VIVID memory ever since. Despite our crappy 96 octane fuel of that time, the performance and noise all wrapped up in that car was quite something. I think it was a 66 or 67 327/365HP from memory - an Ermine White roadster.
I have have owned and tidied up a English sports cars in the past (E Types, Daimler Sp250, etc). Most always fragile and fell apart in front of your eyes
Glad to have you aboard! JUST happen to drive a Ermine white 63 sorry only 300 ponies. THey are fun. I had been looking for the past twenty years and like you decided "To Get With IT!"
Glad I did nice to get a little dose of sunshine with the wife or little girls.
Hope you find yours VERY soon.
Would love to see your country, a great uncle of mine commented a few times, "One of the prettiest places on earth!"

Thanks for the intro and good luck!

Hi Andy,
A car like the corvette would be superb on the roads of the South Island. You should come on down and do a house and car swap with one of the members of the corvette club down here!!
Hi,
The national Corvette meeting is this weekend in Nelson, NZ, Fri-Sun. 104 are pre-registered. My
1984 mint C4 will be for sale in June (first registered
here in Dec 06). I can email info on the car if you'd
be interested in the more hi-tech versions than you indicated. Where are you in NZ?
