Default Future Vette Owner

Hello,

I have been lurking so I figured I would introduce myself.

I have had a love for Corvette's since I was a kid. I remember when the C4 came out, I was about 10, I thought it was the most awesome, modern looking car I had ever seen. I had a C4 matchbox car that of course was the car I drove when I "played cars". My parents were always GM people (until the 89 Corsica they bought). My dad had GTO's and LeMan's back in the 60's (before me). My parents also had a 70 Monte Carlo, a 76 Caprice coupe, a 74 Grand Am and an 82 Citation X-11 (I Loved that car). After the Corsica, they were done with American and bought a 00 Camry which has been trouble free.

I have never really been able to afford a Vette until soon, so the thought of owning was has always been a dream. When I do buy one, not sure I will totally be able to afford it either, but what the heck.

I currently own a 91 Sentra SE-R. It was the car I bought when I was 18 and I could never part with it. My daily driver is an 06 RSX Type-S. I also have a 87 Mustang GT mint with 8400 miles on it. For a while I had been looking to get an 80's Vette or Camaro that would hopefully quench my thirst for V8 power. I came across this Mustang on Ebay, and I loved those 80's Stangs to. So I bought it. The car is almost like brand new. However, its not that fast (none of those 80's cars really were) and I just cant bring myself to modify it because its so rare to be so mint and all original. So the Mustang will have to go to make room and money for a future Vette.

I am pretty sure I have narrowed down what I want. I loved Lemans Blue, but its gone and Jetstream blue doesnt do it for me. I wont drive a red or black car. The Orange or yellow isnt for me and silver is to popular. I think I will get a white coupe manual with, 2LT (I want the sport seats) with the Z51 ( I might get back into autocrossing), transparent roof (add a nice contrast to the white body) and comp gray wheels. Not sure about interior color, but I have time. Thats my dream anyway. Hopefully in 6 months I will be able to pull the trigger! I have a friend who will sell me one for $1k over invoice when I am ready to buy which I think is a good deal.

Thats all I have...I will be reading and dreaming.

Jaret
