New to the forum, and I have questions. First I'm from Houston and I plan on buying my first (of many hopefully) vette this spring. Joined another forum before I found this one and they kind of convinced me to buy new. I was looking at either an '06 Z06 or an '08 vert... and well I'm leaning toward the vert.
Anyway, I have loads of questions so look for me in the other forums.
Hi in advance to my other local vette owners, once I do buy I will be joining a local vette club. I'm from the Woodlands so if there is a good one out here or if there are any members let me know.

Tough choice.
I personally would never buy a convertible and I live in sunny SoCal. So obviously I have a bias opinion when I say "get the badges!".
Either one you will never regret...

Welcome to the forum!
As far as what to buy, let me put it to you this way. We own a 02 Z06, a 03 convertible and a 07 Z06. For the thrill of nailing you butt back in the seat power and pure driving thrill, you can't beat the Z06, but if you want to enjoy the open road with the top down go with the covertible. They're both great cars - just different.
As far a local club goes, we belong to the Sam Houston Corvette Club. Our meetings are held monthly near FM1960 and I-45. Loads of activities and great people. Send me a pm for more info.
