Default Future owner possibly

Been looking at getting a corvette to use as a daily driver since I only drive 6 miles to work. I ought to enjoy life and the drive. Company is moving to another location in town in a year and my roads will change from city to winding country roads.

My best friend just bought a C5 Z06 and he says its my fault because we stopped at a dealer after lunch one day. I didn't force him to buy it, he was in the deal before I knew it. Its a nice car and on a nice break in the weather we took out for a spin. It was very impressive with the way it reacted to situations from acceleration to handeling. We come from the darkside you know mustang/cobra ownership. We built cars with suspension bandaids to get close to corvette handeling. So he went from a 500+ rwhp terminator to C5 Z06 with a stroked LS2 with LS7 heads and intake putting 500+ rwhp N/A. Its one mean ****.

I currently have a svt focus for my DD and my toy is a '89 GT with 500+ rwhp blown 5.0 with the whole maximum motorsport catalog thrown at it.

I used to work for a chevy dealer when I first got out of the Coast Guard. I drove a C4 pace car w/auto to lunch one day and my jaw dropped. I left it in drive and nailed the throttle. First stock auto I ever drove that broke rubber in 3 gears. That day is burned in my brain.

My friends tell me to buy a C5, but I don't know what it is. I just like the look of the C4 more, maybe its from that day.

So been looking at a few mostly 92-96 LT1 and LT4 six speed cars. Mods will most likely be H/C/I using edelbrock intake , AFR heads, & FTI custom cam. Figure a nice 400hp DD would be nice for a country road to work each day.

Aloha and welcome to the CF, good story and good luck in finding your dream C4 Vette. It seems certain models just grabs you and the seed is planted where you need to get one. I know that was the case with the C6.
