I am happy to have found this forum. I was out driving one day and a guy came up to look at the 2007 C6. He told me about this forum. I enjoy reading this forum like the newspaper daily. I have already learned alot. I am from a small South Texas Town, and an even smaller Texas Hill country town. I work and live in Alice, Texas during the week and in Gruene, Texas on weekends. I enjoy driving the vette no matter where I am. I only wish I could get over the worry of parking it where it can get scratched etc. I'm getting there. I have put it in parking lots that I would never have thought about doing when it was newer.
I suppose the main wonder I have is what to do on a weekend with a flat and no dealerships or big tire shops open. I have some jacking pucks, but don't really know how to use them yet. The corvette thing has a learning curve like everything else.
Aloha Bob, good to see you enjoying your C6, yes it is worrisome to park a Vette, post up some pictures.
On the jacking pucks, which ones do you have? What you will need is a very low profile jack to fit under the pucks. Do a search in the C6 section for jacking instructions, you need to becareful to avoid damaging your car. On flats your car should have run flats so you can drive to a repair shop or get home and then drive slowly to one.
Hi: I joined the forum last summer speciffically to get up to speed on a purchase. I found most of the threads helpful in getting into the right price range.I bought a 2006 lmb vert in Fl. in October, put 1700 miles on it in two days (great ride). It now sits in my garage with a dead battery. Next weekend I plan on doing route 66 for the month of April. Looking for everyones input.
