Future C5 owner here
I'm currently in the market for a C5. I've had chevys all my life and currently own a 69 SS350 Camaro, but this will be my first Corvette.
I thinking I want a '03 Torch Red one, but the reason I joined is to get ideas from current owners.
I was directed here by a guy I met at the Pleasanton (CA) swap meet/car show last weekend. He owned a C5 Z06 that had been made into a convertible. It was a beautiful ride and he turned out to live maybe three miles from me.

Well having spent 5 or 6 hours in a bunch of different forums yesterday, I have to say that I'm thrilled so far. I've already found LOTS of opinions and saw answers to some of the questions I guess everyone has about Corvettes.

I just thought I'd check back in with an update to my intro.
On November 5th, I flew down to Orange County (CA) to look at an '03 Torch Red Z06. The car was for sale at a Honda Dealership there. The car was completely stock with only 29,000 miles on the clock.
Drove it, paid for it and then took a super enjoyable 5 1/2 hour ride back to Sacramento.
I've had it for a little over a month now and love it more every single day. I'm an official Corvette guy for life.
