I need some reassurance that my C-5 is still operating correctly-or not:
I have a 2000 C-5 with 90,000 miles (my daily driver here in New England); it is 25 degrees F outside and while stationary at idle speed for 15 minutes the operating temerature went to ~220 to 225 d/f; the electric fans did not come on; with an increase in idle speed the temperature dropped to normal ~192 d/f.
When moving (ram air) the operating temp. returns and remains at 192 or lowere d/f.
Q's:
Does the 220-225 d/f sound normal when sitting even with low ambient temperates?
At what temp do the fans come on (they do operate in the summer with the a/c on).
