Name is Ray(duh), currently living in Lubbock, Tx but I am getting ready to head back to Oklahoma. Just bought my 94' C4 a few months ago and it's SWEET! I waited a lot of my life to own a Vette and finally do.
I am semi-retired now. Got blown up my second tour and subsequently got med retired from the Army. Still looking for other things to do, but I have spinal cord damage that keeps me pretty out of action. LOL, this is a good point to add that if I have posts that are not quite right you'll have to excuse. I am on a pretty steady diet of Percocet and Morphine(not at the same time), and things get a bit fuzzy at times.
I have done my fair share of racing, and am a 4 star supporting member of the International Automotive Technicians Network. I let all of my ASE certs run out as I am no longer able to work in the field or spend the time training that it requires to be a good tech.
Look forward to BS'ing with everybody. I do plenty of it since I spend so much time on the PC.
Welcome aboard Ray and congrats on your Corvette. Thanks for your service and sorry to hear you were hurt while serving. Best of luck and get out there and enjoy that Corvette.
Sorry to hear about your injuries. Your background in mechanics will fit right in on this forum. You'll find yourself sharing information with with people like me that knows what a wrench is, but not sure which end to hold on to. Welcome !!
Thanks for the welcome all! I appreciate the thoughts but I loved my job and don't feel the slightest bit of remorse. Things could have been a lot worse if you know what I mean. As for the thanks, well no need for all that. Just a job, and well........frankly there wasn't much service to OUR country.
You want to say thanks to a REAL hero, go thank a cop. They do it everyday and have a central office that makes sure they are in the **** as often as possible.
