New here but have loved Corvettes my whole life. Never owned 1 though. I am 48 now and think it is time to start looking for 1. I would love to have a 66 but more $$$ then I can spend. Thinking about a 68-70 convert. 4spd. I like all corvettes so I don't feel like I would be settling for the wrong car as I will never be able to buy a 66 but I can dream.
Thats my story

Welcome to the forum. Watch ebay, Craig's List, the posts in this forum and you may be surprised to find something you can work with at your budget. Don't limit yourself to that search though, I found all three of my mid-years through a Corvette friend who knew of one for sale.
Welcome to the forum Jack. When I started looking for my vette I had my heart set on a low mileage C5. I had it narrowed down to a couple of very nice cars and just about the time I was deciding which one to buy the economy fill off a cliff. I didn't want to spend that kind of money at this time so I found a low mileage 93 for half the money and I love the car. I said all that to say almost any year vette can be a car you can just fall in love with. Good luck in your hunt and I hope what ever you buy you have as much fun with yours as I do mine.
