For many years, I was never a Corvette person. I am a muscle car guy, hence the name. I currently have a 1970 Chevelle. I thought Corvettes were gorgeous cars and icons of American automotive history but nothing I would ever want to own. I did like the mid year Vettes but who doesn't? Well it all changed the other day when I got a ride in a business acquaintances 03 Pewter C5 Convertible 6-speed with a supercharger. WOW, what a car. He let me drive it, which was the first time I drove a C5 and I was very impressed. Of course I know the SC adds a lot to the car but I didn't realized how well these actually rode down the street. Its quite a civilized car.
Now I have the bug and started to look for a C5 for myself. I joined this forum to learn a bit more about these cars and get some input. I am not sure of what I want but a 6-speed and drop top are a must. I am pretty much open past that.
I know how you feel Jon. I got the bug for a six speed drop top and found the perfect deal for me in South Florida. I've had a big smile on my face ever since.
