No Corvette currently. Kind of ironic considering the screen name.
Had two C2's until about 5 years ago. They were fun but mine just seemed to be 2 buckets of bolts that kept falling apart all the time. Got tired of the repairs and sold them. Sometimes I regret that. Sometimes I don't.

Welcome to the Forum - one thing about these old Corvettes is that they are OLD. You don't see a whole lot of them around in part because cars of that era weren't designed to last for 40 years or more. I agree that they are a lot of work, but for many of us that's the fun part! Enjoy!
The repairs were fun for a while but then they just started to get intrusive to the fun of driving the cars. It seemed like every time I want to go out with one it had something wrong with it.
Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!!! Sorry to hear you parted with 2 C2's, they are my favorite generation. I do understand the frustration of constant repairs though. Best of luck, hope you can come back to a Vette. Enjoy the Forums.
Thanks for the welcome everyone. Much nicer than many other forums that I have joined in the past.
RicK T,
It was hard to sell them but I got to that final straw. I've owned several antique cars and love working on them. Those 2 were by far the worst as far as repair frequency. If I could have been happy just looking at them and not driving them they would still be in the garage right now. It just hurt to not get to drive them as much as I wanted to.
I found the forum while doing 'net research after looking at a "used" 2009 Callaway Supercharged car for sale. I was trying to figure out pricing on it compared to the stealership's asking price. I've been out of the Corvette arena for quite a while and have lost track of all values really. At any rate, I may be back in a Vette soon.
