Default Thanks for encouraging welcomes,1st report

this is to update anyone interested. The Crossfire is in the sale bin with the distributor. Found an old alum Q-jet manifold in my treasure pile and started installing the Edlebrock 600 but was having problems with adapter, clearence and cables so pulled out a performance Q-jet from my Fiat Topolino pro street boxes and it went on easy and is much lower. Got it started yesterday and cut a hole in the hood to drive it with hood shut. The C5 body kit on the 84 has a cowel induction hood so there is clearence. One problem is timing, on the first test drive the timing was too high and it does not have the old style timing marks but we will adapt. Pulled the liquid cristal gauges and hope to do the gauge conversion next. Thanks for the encouragement and the tresure chest of tech advice. The power window ribbon came in the mail so need the instructions which were not included. This 84 Corvette is just a Chevy so it is simple to repair but small work space under dash. Next is to strip the paint which is pealing from poor bonding when body kit was installed. Plan A is to do the prep and take it to Maaco or similar to get it painted. Plan B is to spray it myself and ignore the dust, runs and problems. Have plenty of Hitachi Orange, bought 5 gal from thrift store or have a gal of GM metalic blue from another canceled project. Also have a line on a 62 Vette wrecked fixer. Thanks again for welcome. Daniel
