Hello all, just bought my first vette this past fall at age 49+, promissed myelf I'd have one before fifty. Unfortunately, I live in the NE and had to put it up for the winter after only a few hundred miles. I also promissed myself this was only to be a driver, not a hotrod, therefore no mods. Well,...can't take it just sitting there, so the front is lowered, and started in on the back, maybe some sway bar changes and few few bushing swaps should cure me I expect.
I've got 25+ years experience as a nascar shorttrack modified and prostock crewchief, so making chassis and suspension adjustments to basic components and geometries is home to me. The F45 real time dampening system is however, completely unfamiliar to me. I've got a couple of thoughts to compensate for lowering and still maintain the original ride quality, and quite possibly improving it.
My question to anyone here is, which forum would be the best arena to get computer/suspension questions answered.
BTW...2002 F45 convertible 3,900 miles
One more thing,...I've got to agree with most everyone elses opinion of this site. It's definitely the best corvette forum on the web, thanks to all the folks like yourselves. I'm glad to be part of it.
Thanks
Wayne
You should look to the "C6 Tech/Performance" section for input on suspension and computers.
Several road racing vendors (LG, Pfadt, DRM) spend time in there and I'm sure they would be happy to discuss.
Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!! Congratulations on your first Vette!! Enjoy the car and the Forums.
Your F45 system preceded the current F55 setup. In case you're interested, here's a great article from 2003 discussing both that may give you insight you don't currently have. Enjoy.
