I am unable to turn the key above the back plate to release the trunk to access the driver door to open the hood, to boost my 2007 corvette.
Is there any helpful hints I am over looking?

Welcome to the forum! 
You do not say where you are located so it could be different problems. The time my battery went out in my '06 the key turned fine, without any trouble. Have you tried graphite or a de-icer, depending on your conditions? Good luck

If the lock has frozen it will not turn. They sell a special spray that a friend used, that allegedly de-ices the lock and will let it turn.

Welcome to the Forum!!!!!!!!! Those locks can be very difficult to turn.....sometimes just because that's the way they are, sometimes due to dirt or being frozen. Push down on the hatch/trunk above the lock while trying to work the key repeatedly. Good luck.
