First Vette

I picked up my 09 Vette convertible Indy pace car yesterday and I must admit I feel younger. I'm 58 and this is my first Vette. Hopefully I can keep it a long time. I know little about Vette's but have wanted one since I was a young man. I'm told there is a wealth of knowledge on here so I will probably be picking your brains.

Thanks everybody. I am completely taken aback by the reaction that people have to this car. I went down to the Market area in Ottawa last night and it is just alive with people now that the warm weather is here. It blew me away how people stared at it. I'd like to think the women were staring at me but I am a realist and that hasn't happened for 30 years

The other thing that surprises me is the respect you get from other drivers. You don't have to drive fast, they just know you can. My first love is my bike but I gotta say this thing is working it's way up the food chain.
