Howdy!
Hey everybody!, new to the Corvette scene, we just picked up our first, it's a 2002 vert, really nice, and we were really excited when we picked it up, I came home for mid-tour leave from Iraq, and had about 5 hours on the ground when I saw it for sale, well seeing how I only had two weeks home we got it. And it shortly proceeded to show its problems, (not that I'm any less satisfied with it now mind you, still a great vehicle). But yeah we drove it home, and fuel gauge dropped like a rock, found out from here that's pretty common, no big thing, not gonna worry about that. Then the check engine lights hit, took it to autozone, the analyzer said catalytic converter, so the dealer covered the cost on that one, (still haven't had it installed though, will when I get back home. The wife didn't take it out much, and I didn't hook up the battery tender before I left, so the battery died, the wife drove it with the weak battery, which later completely died, so after the battery was replaced the vette began the stalling thing and check steering column code. Again not a big deal, the shop was honest about the recall on it, and offered to cover the costs if it had anything to do with that. So right now the new rides in the shop, I'm back overseas, the wife is driving around in one of the other vehicles. although I only drove it a few times while we were home, it was an absolute blast! I should be back in time for the weather to warm up next year, so until then I'll be watching to see what kind of cool events you all are planning!
