I bought a Trailblazer SS which has the LS2 (corvette) engine with a truck intake. True to my calling, painted flat black again, and modded it out. No blower this time, just cam, intake, tune and exhaust. Runs pretty good for a 4,600lb vehicle. Updated suspension, brakes, rotors, sway bars etc. No Corvette for sure but still pretty good for an SUV and will be a good winter vehicle when i can't drive the Corvette. GM decides that it is marketed with SS badging, but I wonder....
I powder coated my Corvette rims and due to time constraints, I painted the TBSS rims. I am surprised that the paint is holding as well as it does. Four coats of engine enamel, prepped, and three months later - not a scratch... As far as the vehicle paint goes, I used a satin black this time, and like it better. It shows off the compound curves more effectively.
