I am considering A 1998 coupe. It has all the options is black and has 56000 miles. I really don't need it as I have a nice diesel PU and a Saturn Sky. But I still want it and can afford it. Any advice?

Hey man welcome to the forms, Advise --- you want it and can afford it - sounds pretty easy from here. I have a Z71 CCSB 4WD and a GP GTP and when it comes down to having a vette well i can only say this.
Welcome to the Forum Both the truck and the Sky are great to drive in their own way but they are not a Corvette. After you own and drive a vette most other cars pale in comparison when it comes to the overall driving experience. I bought my 93 just to see if I liked driving a vette and if so I was going to trade up to a newer one but after two years I'm still driving it with no plans to trade up anytime soon. The fun factor is very high every time I slide in behind the wheel and it didn't cost much to have such a good time. Good luck with you decision.
I have always liked the C5. I almost traded the Sky for a new C6 but decided I wanted to keep the Sky. After thinking about it I like the C5 better. Not as fast but I drive A semi for a living so I can't drive it like I want to anyway. I like the C6 I just like the C5 better. There are some good deals on some real clean low mile cars now. I do wish it did not have the glass top though. Is the adjustable suspention a good thing? it has that.
Because your looking more at the C5 http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-general-103/ would be a very good place to ask questions. Those guys drive and work on their cars so they have the best information for you. Good luck
