Default GM Product Quality

Hi Jack, there is always someone who for whatever reason tees off with some kind of naive response to yes, a new member with one post asking a legitimate technical question. You must not be that happy being retired and obviously were born knowing it all without ever having to ask any questions about anything. Perhaps it's the anonymity that allows this kind of tone, unbecoming for a man your age.

Can't wait for your opinion to some of the other questions that I have.

Be kind, it takes less energy and you'll live longer.

You started off just fine. Some people think the Corvette emits excessive heat into the cockpit, while many more don't feel that way. It IS a sports car and should not be expected to offer all of the amenities you expect in a Cadillac or Mercedes. That being said, there ARE solutions to those that find that heat offensive.

Then I was elated that you had the partial solution as you indicated in your post. Bravo for you; a person who actually did their research and found the answer.

Whether those solutions were perfect, who knows, which led to your valid question. Up until then I had taken no offense. But then you went on to say:

"I'm familiar with how GM does things ..... I did not expect the Corvette to have such a basic issue being ignored by the factory."

That led to my basic "Here we go again with another troll" comment. And a few others felt the same, although they expressed it differently. There are so many new members who come on here only to bash Corvette/GM, and most of us despise that tactic.

I am a gear-head and racer since 1960, and I will offer what help I can to anyone. I will also post a dissenting opinion. That act in itself pisses some people off, although it shouldn't. I do not think any question is stupid, nor do I give condescending replies to legitimate questions. But if I sense a trollish post, I'll be one of the first to say so, on the internet or I'm man enough to say it to your face.

You've made some marginal remarks in this post to me also. Just an FYI:
1. I am not naive,
2. I am VERY happy in retirement,
3.l I have had many great mentors during my lifetime,
4. My tone was in response to your trollish anti-GM comments in your first post,
5. I will answer any question that I can for you or anyone else,
6. I don't have all the answers since I am still learning at my age, and
7. I am kind, giving freely of my time to family, the community, the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation, the Masonic Children's Home, and the Shriners Hospital for Children.

Think of me as you will. No fight from me though. We are all here because of a common love of the Corvette.
