Hi everybody. I just bought a 2006 coupe with 15,600 miles on her, GM Certified, and I added three additional years of GM bumper-to-bumper to sleep better for a while.
I am 68 and just retired 12/31/2010, and this is my retirement gift to myself. I bought a new '67 base roadster w/ 4 speed, Sunflower Yellow, no options and I still consider that my favorite car. I then bought a new '69 base coupe w/ 4 speed, British Green. I have waited a long time for my third Corvette.
A few other facts about me: I am a Mason and Shriner; play guitar and own numerous Martin dreadnoughts and various electrics; am a model railroader; fly RC helicopters; NRA Life Member; and do the Susan G. Komen 3-Day For the Cure 60 mile walk for breast cancer every year.
I have lurked here for several weeks as I researched my purchase, learned so much already, and look forward to learning much more, and to getting to know many of you.
