It's 1971, I'm 13 years old. My father's best friend stops in with his new 911 and takes me for the tire squealing, high speed ride of my life...............I'm hooked and at that moment I decided, someday I will own a 911.
Fast forward to 2011. I'm 53 years old and I have finally reached that point of my life where I have the time, room and money for a second car. I take a ride to the local Porsche dealership. I was giddy with excitement as I took the 911 Carrera out for my first test drive.
The 911 was nice, but nothing special, maybe I was expecting to much. I left the Porsche dealership disappointed, almost heart broken.
Then I saw it, sitting next to me at a light, the hood read 427 the fender Z06 and the lines of the car were the sexiest thing I have seen this side of Maranello. I had a new love
Two weeks later I purchased a mint 2006 Silver Z06 from Chevy21.
The test drive had not been a disappointment.
Cheers, from a newbie that resides in King of Prussia, Pa.
Isn't the ZO6 a car for track only which is too stiff to drive it every day on "normal rads"? Isn't the ride too bumpy?

The Z06 has a firm ride but not a bone jarring ride. I could drive the car every day but I will reserve those duties for my Honda Ridgeline. Pennsylvania winters are a bitch.
