I purchased my first Corvette, a 2008 C6 Black Coupe, July of last year. It is a manual transmission (why would you get an automatic) and is definitely quick enough to get into some trouble. I have never owend a rear wheel drive car, but now I am definitely sold! It has been tedious and wonderful learning about how to care for my car. Black is definitely a difficult color, which I had to learn for myself, but looks amazing after detailing. I find myself always turning around to catch a glimpse of it while walking away, I absolutely love it. There's nothing better than taking a drive on a beautiful day with the music blasting and the top off. I would really like to take a road trip towards the west coast and drive along Highway One. The roads in Oklahoma are horrible, so a nice long stretch of highway would be perfect!
To all of the experts, thank you for your knowledge about our cars. Without you I would not have known of the maintenance and care that this car needs. Most people do not expect a woman to take care of her own car, so it is much appreciated to have guidance on doing what I love.
C6 will give you a heck of a nice ride on that long trip. There was a guy that covered all lower 48 last year and logged 20K miles in a '66 so don't hesitate.
Just be careful if/when you go O/T. That's a unique world over there And keep a low profile you being female. Then again, if you can handle a M6 C6 you can handle them boys I'm sure.
