Default Newbie :]

I will hopefully be the proud owner of a 1 owner, 2001 corvette. Was thinking about a z06, but the hatchback is a bit more my style and I love the targa top. This vette is torch red(my absolute favorite color, waited FOREVER to find one) 98k miles, kinda high, but the previous owner took good care of this car, you can see in the pics. The engine bay is spotless, interior is still in great shape as well. Overall, I think this is a nice little gem I'm ecstatic to own a c5. Trading in my 2004 vw r32 to own this bad boy!

Thanks much!

I'm only 19 and have already been through 4 cars, I need to settle down and find one and keep it :p I'm pretty sure this vette would be it. I've been waiting forever to find one like this.

Ah Ha!! Caught you! You're a poseur! You aren't a Newbie. You were here last May.

Just yanking your chain. Congratulations on your C5!! But you really need to leave Intros here and go join the C5 folks in the C5 General Forum and post some pics of your new baby. Enjoy.

I currently have a 2002 Mustang GT and once I get that sold, I'm hoping into the best 15-18k dollar vette I can find. I'm 18 years old, and I only ask 2 things.

1. I'm a newbie to cars yet, still learning as much as I can. I know all your basic stuff, but I'm enthusiastic to learn it all, so don't be too harsh on me

2. Don't judge me on my age. Just because I am young does not mean I don't know what I'm doing, or shouldn't be in a corvette, etc. etc. While trying to retain some modesty, I do believe I have a good head on my shoulders. All three cars I've owned since I was 15(Maxima, E36, and Mustang) have been paid for, maintained, and cared for by me myself, and I.

So now that I've introduced myself, I'm hoping to get a bit of advice! I'm new to the corvette scene, so I don't know a whole lot about them. I've been doing a bit of searching in my price range, and I believe that a 1999-2001 C5 would be the best bang for my buck? Just let me know what you guys think!

I hope to soon be a very active member in the forums, thanks for all who help me out!

Lol yes I have been caught! I was caught in a bit of a situation back then! I sold my mustang, then the vette I was set to buyin, sold :[ So I bought my r32 for a good deal. But I'M BACK ONCE AGAIN :P thus showing my pure dedication to this car. I am going this Saturday to get it *knocks on wood. Lets not have a repeat offense here lol.

Regardless, thanks for the welcoming!(again) lol
