Before 20 April I never ever have ridden in any Corvette. I simply wasn't interested frankly. I've owned a couple of Chevys but simply liked Fords best. Been a Ford guy consistantly since 1987.
I saw one for sale on craigslist locally. So, I went for a look. I went for a ride. I wasn't in the car 5 minutes and I was sold. This was a real spur of the moment, wild hair definately unexpected.
It's a 1990 L98 coupe, both tops, Bose, sport seats, FX3, all the bells and whistles but I think what did it was the power, torque and the beautiful exhaust music.
It's 22 years old but looks to be maybe 4 years old. Drives like a dream and quite honestly is the most powerful car I've ever owned. The bills are paid, the kids are gone and I'm comtemplating retirement in 3 years. I can only imagine what a Z06 feels like. This car is plenty for me. It has no modification less the wheels and even looks like it may have never been driven in the rain. Underneath, aside from road dust looks new. 100,000 miles and all the servicing and repair receipts since new.
