I have been on the hunt for black headlights for my boyfriend's silver C6, and the best price I can find around is over $1,000. Talk about a highway robbery!

I completely agree that the cost is ridiculous period. I am curious why GM did not offer this as a regular, inexpensive option for any Vette to begin with!

GM does offer it as an option. You have a choice of several colors when you order the car, and I did choose the "black" option, and they charged me $540.00 for them. Suddenly that sounds reasonable compared to the prices you're getting.

They'll make a great gift for your boyfriend! He's a lucky guy.

NOW they are offered as an option, but were not years ago..to my knowledge.

What can I say, I love to spoil and I love good looking Vettes
