I am a new member I am a recently retired NJ State Trooper, and when I was on the road, my favorite Troop Car was a 1992 Chevy with the Police Interceptor Package with a high Output LT1 motor, so when I retired I came across that year vette with that motor I had to get it. My friend that just wanted to sell this car due to health reasons, he couldnt drive anymore. He said he knew I loved the car and would take care of it. So I bought it I want to fix it up, although its in great shape, I wanted to customize it with a police theme in memory of my lost police buddies, so I want to keep a blue theme, I recently changed the exhaust and stereo, and now I am looking for wheels I have new 275 40 r 17 and my wheel size is 17X9.5 the choices are limited at least as far as my search goes. I was looking for Grand sport style chrome or whatever can anyone help me? I see they make hundreds of styles in 17X8.5 wheel and I dont want to put a smaller wheel on the car and I dont want to buy new Tires, does anyone have any advice? BTW I wasnt a speeding ticket Trooper I used to Investigate Fatal Commercial Vehicle accidents. The First day I became a Trooper in 1985 I had an old Dodge or Plymouth in the lot, they said kid thats your ride with a Big Block in it I got on I-80 and pinned the speedometer Thanks take care Joe R

Hello and welcome to the forum. For wheels. You can check out the classified section of the forum. I'm not sure what wheels you have now but I always like the 5 spoke oem wheels that were available on the '92. You can go here for those:http://www.hubcaphaven.com/1992_chev...heels_rims.htm
Meanwhile, given that you want to keep the tires you have. Thosse tires will fit any 17" wheel with a width range of 9.0 thru 11.0 inches. So you have some flexibility. You just need to make sure the wheels will accomodate a Corette C4 polt pattern. Check out "Performance Plus", "Corvette Central Performance" and "Tire Rack" ---just to name a few for wheels in sizes that your tires will fit. Good Luck!
