possible first vette
well, i've decided to come to the dark side. i've had a lot of different 60's and 70's pony and muscle cars and one out and out hotrod/ratrod. i've decided it's time to settle into a vette. i have the cahnce to get waht appears to be a clean 81 with 130k miles or a fairly clean 97 with 167k miles. i'm trading my 69 trans am clone for either one which on paper is bad for me. but i'd like my cruiser to have things like heat and air and not turning 3200 rpms at 65mph. so, 81 with new paint and very clean interior and i think a stock engine accept for the holley car or the 99 with a major paint chip on the front bumper and pretty bad tear in the leather on the driver's seat. i like the c3 bodies but realize they are slugs relatively speaking and i see less potential for electrical failures. more redneck wrench friendly. hi i'm bob
