After finally retiring, the kids grown and out, I got bit bit by the bug for a second time.
My first vette was a '63 Convertable (in '63) My dad bought it new when i won a bet to graduate with at least a "b" avg. What a car! 360 fuelie with a 4:56 rear. I don't know how many were produced with that combo but i think it was kinda rare. I had it for about a year when uncle Sam decided he had other plans for me other than drag racing. My dad sold it when i got drafted and i never saw it again. Fast forward 50 years. I'm walking my dog and i keep seeing this beat up '84 sitting in the sun looking like it had not moved in months. I'm thinking...this would be fun to give this thing new life. I contacted the owner and picked it up for next to nothing (his wife was on him to get rid of it....get some great deals that way!) I'm having a great time working on it. I have a list a mile long to do but i have all day every day to work on it. It runs well needs alot of interior work. I'm sure i'll be asking alot of questions as i restore new life into this vette.
