Default New From WI

Hey there, new here to Corvette Forum and with a couple of questions!

I had been planning on buying a 8k mile WS6 for around $20k but have been thinking about it more and more and want a Corvette again

Currently I drive a 2004 Monte Carlo and am looking to get a C5Z and build it. I am also considering C6Z's, but have always been a bit more of a C5 fan.

One problem I am experiencing is that I'm 6'6" tall.. I fit in my Monte Carlo and am extremely comfortable, after some time getting the seat where I want it and getting used to how I like to sit in the seat.

With a C5Z or C6Z do you guys think I'll fit in one? How tall are you guys?

I'm on Camaro5 more, but hopefully I'll get to know you guys over here better as well! Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the Forum and you can post in both C5 & C6 section and ask those guys. From the things I've seen on the forum you should fit in either gen.

Welcome to the forum. You should test drive some C5's and C6's to make sure that fit comfortably.

I plan on it, only problem is I'm 21 and have a hard time getting dealers to let me in cars. They don't think I'm serious.

I graduate in May and I plan for this to be my graduation present to myself once I get a job, which shouldn't be too long since my major has 100% placement rating the last 3 years.

welcome to the forum!
I'm 6'4" and the C6 has plenty of leg room for me. The foot well is narrow but it is deep.

What dealers think does not matter. You have the law on your side. Dress nicely and show strong body language. Tell the salesperson exactly what you want. If a salesperson gives you any trouble ask to speak to the manager.

Perfect, how's the headroom?

Thanks for the input!

True, I don't think I'll ever buy from a dealer, however I will probably use them for testdrives and such. Too many horror stories and such with used cars and lemons. Unless I can find someone reputable that you guys have used before.

I'll probably just wear my work clothes and go check out some vettes here in town this weekend if I have time

Thanks for the advice

Thanks, that's not too far, maybe if I see a car show up there or something I'll make my way up there!

That's okay, though, I've been stranded in Janesville as well, usually due to my own mistakes and decisions haha
