Default Intensive care = New C7

I was driving my Burgman 650 ( a big big scooter ) on July 12 and a US Postal truck run a stop sign and t-boned my right side. After 3 weeks in the human hobby shop with a crushed and broken rt. foot, a broken ankle in 2 places, a pelvis broken in 4 places, a separated left shoulder, a minor concussion and a lot of road rash I got to come home. Just got the last cast off last week. Learning to walk with pain.

Anyway, I order a C7 Z51, Blade Silver, 3 pedals , 2LT, Mag. ride, pro exh., dual roofs and Nav about 3 weeks ago and at 3400 for a week now. The totally new C7 Stingray and my wife of 41 years "requesting " no more 2 wheeled machines convinced me. This was also my second negative major moto event.

My last Corvette, a Sebring Silver C5 was ordered and I had to wait 6 months for. The demand in 99 was really high and I did not want to pay over MSRP. Being in California, they had a law forbidding the registering of a vehicle with less than 7500 mile. It is intended to prevent vehicles being bought outside of California. I turn forced me to find a dealer selling at MSRP.

I retired from USAF, and then flew with the airlines a few years. Lastly, landed a Flight Simulator Instructor job with Boeing for 10 years. Now just enjoy life and like traveling around at sea level and not at Mach .85. A lot more to see at that altitude and speed.

Thanks for listening and I am glad to be back in the American Iron ( actually carbon fiber and aluminum ) world of Corvettes.
