Default New Corvette Owner checking in...

Hello Fellow Enthusiasts,

I am relatively new to the Corvette scene, having drag raced Mopar's for 30 years, with one still in the garage.

I purchased a 2012 Grand Sport, white with red hash marks on the fenders and red interior in April of this year. I had always been a stick guy but due to the traffic in southern California, I decided to opt for the paddle shift.

After owning the car for a few months I did realize that I missed the stick and feeling of control that comes with one. I also found that a more power would be nice. At that point I started researching superchargers and turbo systems as well as looking at some additional ground effects.

After pricing everything out I realized that the best/smartest thing I could do would be to upgrade to an older ZR1 and get back a stick car.

I ended up picking up a 2009 Blade Silver ZR1 and am extremely pleased. This car is a rush!!

I look forward to spending some time on the forums and am hoping to meet some people in the Orange County area to go on the occasional cruise with as I am relatively new to the area.

Great forum and lots of info!!

Cheers,

James
