Default Gday all

Gday all new member from the worlds most livable city ...Melbourne Australia. Been wanting a vette since I was a kid in front of the TV watching Bill Bixby drive one around in a show called the Magician...Just home from spending 4 months in the states on long service leave,26 days on the west coast in a hire corvette did the run from LA along to coast to SFO and then across through Yosemite just simply stunning...Ide recommend to anybody from where ever in the world to do this drive. Then picked up a softail from eagle rider and spent 18 days on route 66 riding from LA to to Ohare wont forget that in a hurry either off into Canada from there for a couple of weeks then back on NYC to pick up a hire Camaro and spend a few weeks driving down to south beach all with the mrs in tow we had a great time and would like to thank the folks we meet along the way for the friendly and inviting attitude.(well most of em the cops in chigago wernt much fun)This holiday been my 50th birthday prezzie and 25 years in the making twas the holiday of a life time.Anyways home to the hum drum and back to work I come home from work one arvo (afternoon) and the MRs packs me into car and takes me to a old run down house with out telling me whats going on she goes inside her and a guy walk out open the garage door and there sits a car under covers.
she pulls the covers off it and whats sitting there. A 1986 C4 ragtop as shinney as ya like ............it was instant love.......money was exchanged and to be picked up in 3 days as he had boxes of bits and pieces and a hard top to go with it he had to dig out....3 weeks later ive changed all the fluids and all the o rings on the injection (they started leaking on the freeway 10 miles from home that was a drive and a half) I still want to do the wheel bearings...shes as stock as a rock 43,000klms bought into the country in the early 90,s and converted to right hand drive (yep the right side of the car) and only come out on sunny days cept the last few years it had just been sitting idle in the garage, paint shines but is very rough need a cut and polish but we have a limetime to spend together so thing will get done slowly. Only mod so far is the sound system all the Bose stuff ive taken out (still works) and put something in a can hear with the top down.......looking forward to picking some brains and reading the forum and picking up some tips..........John
