Hello members, My name is Don I'm from central N.J. and I just bought my first Vette. It's a 2004 convertible triple black with just over 11,000 miles on it. I've had the car two weeks today and except for some disappointing information I received from a couple of responders on the tech forum regarding the ten year old tires on my car I am totally pleased with my new ride.
For the past several years I had a 1966 Thunderbird Town Hardtop with a 428 motor. I really loved that car but I felt it was time to move on so I sold it and bought the Vette.
I heard about this forum from a member of the central Jersey Corvette Club which I intend to join and signed up right away. I look forward to a long relationship with the club, the forum and of course my Corvette. Till Then. Don
To have a Q code '66 T-bird is pretty cool. I have a 1970 R code (428 CJ) Mustang. IT used to have an 871 blower on about 20 years ago. Anyways, I know you will love your C5. I had a yellow 2001, and when I sold it a few years ago it only had 11,000 miles. It was rare as it was yellow and tan. Corvette clubs are some of the coolest clubs around. I have not been a member to any in a while as I will be moving in a couple of years. When you get a chance, you should post some photos of your new baby. The T bird sounds cool too. The 428 makes the car.
