Hi all, just wanted to share some pics of my new ride. I'm a mechanical engineer and bought a 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX with plenty of bolt-on mods while I was finishing grad. school. When I moved down to FL I figured I should take advantage of the climate and drive a sports car year round haha. I searched for a 2002-2004 Z06 for a couple months and finally found this one, after test driving a couple other disappointing cars. Anyway, it's a 2002 Z06 with 52k miles and no mods. It has a few of the typical C5 quirks, like some seat rocking and the memory function of the seat only works when it feels like it, but it seems to be a solid car! I already did the T56 "anti venom" mod and felt a great improvement in the 1-2 shift. Next I want to defeat the 1-4 skip shift and then do the steering column lock bypass, change valve springs, and fix the rocking seats. Right now the plan is to keep the car pretty stock.
Anyway, here's some pics after a detailing session with clay bar, polish, and wax!
And here she is shoehorned into my tiny garage! Haha complete with towel on the driver's side wall to prevent any door dings.
Thanks! I could only get the guy down to $21k, which is about KBB value for the car down here. I was hoping to talk him down more, but he hadn't taken delivery of the Z51 C7 he ordered yet and wasn't in a hurry to sell, so he wasn't willing to deal much.
Thanks, guys! This is my first Vette (I've driven my Dad's C6 and previous C4 a lot though), and I'm loving it! I'm just DDing the car now, but I hope to get in some autox and track days with it after I get more used to it and do a few little projects.
