I am a both a new member as well as new to owning a Corvette. I have owned many cars in the past but I have never been a Corvette guy I wanted to pick up a sports car and figured I would check out what everyone has been raving about for so many year I went to check out a few cars and after driving my car I just had to buy it! I have only owned it for less the two weeks and only put about 600 miles on it but I like it a lot, I'm not ready to commit to the "L" word yet.
I have found this forum to be helpful, I have been reading a lot of threads that have been informative and hope I can contribute in the future.
I look forward to getting to know some of you and continuing to learn about Corvettes.
Dave

LOL the Porsche is a friends car not mine, I joke that the cars had a play date. The Porsche is a 06'C2s with like of extras I would trade cars in a heart beat! I love my new car but I'm a Porsche guy at heart

Well then here is a nice little bit of Porsche **** for you!
I found this through a Christmas party one year. I was stunned.
One owner (now 2nd owner) 1962 356B S90. The car was parked 30 + years ago and it was essentially rebuilt mechanically just prior to it being parked. Rust free.
Haven't had the time to do anything to it. It cleaned up well, the lacquer paint is incredible.
Wow that's quite the find! Just a thought, you may want to put air in the tires so it will roll without having to use dollies
Really nice great car and hard to find this said I saw one a few weeks ago in NJ a guy drove it to work I was blown away with the condition and still I don't think it was as nice as yours looks!

Thanks and I am too. Considering just how long it sat, how much dirt and crap it it had in it and on it....it took 3 days to carefully remove it all. It was like an art. It took a long time, but in the end it came out looking great. 77,000 miles, as for the tires, they are from the early 70s. They are so dry rotted that there is not point in adding air. I am restoring my 1970 428 CJ Mustang and my 1972 C3 that was sadly wrecked last October, so all of the other projects are stalled pretty much indefinitely until I finish my C3 and Mustang. I am also a pilot, so I am always leaving the planet.
