Default Hello from the Bay Area

Been out of the corvette game for a long time now, but I'm back. Previous car was a 2003 Z06. Black. S/C (Magnuson). It was fun.

Now I'm 8 years older, married, and a father. I'm basically in this 1999 C5 for a couple thousand via some trades. I'm beginning my FRC conversion this weekend, and will be making the top removable, with the convertible waterfall as a sub-in.

I run a body shop in Vacaville, Ca so I'm well aware of whats involved and the parts list (which I'm getting so cheap it's insane). I'll post some pics as I make progress. Hope all is well with all you guys. Special thanks to any vets (no pun intended) retired or active, and all of our Police/Fire/etc. I appreciate the job you guys do to keep us safe. God Bless!

Two weeks ago (ouch, right?!?!) Purple tint and Auto Zone primer. (wheel are real and for sale. tires brand new).

On it's way... Those are 19" (9 and 11 wide) CCW 505A wrapped in Nitto Invos. Suspension this weekend and I'll dive into the targa conversion next week.

Bought my first Vette this fall, C4 1984. Parked in the garage under the cover until the Wisconsin winter is gone!

Thanks again!

Several have requested to follow my FRC conversion, so I will begin a new post once the conversion starts, along with a host of other mods that will be done in unison. I will post a link to the build once it begins. Couple weeks, I assume, as I will be painting it before summer. If you have color chips you think are unique or special, I am open to colors still (will be a complete repaint, less engine bay - which is mostly black). Thanks for the support and confidence already!

I will also be exposing the "halo" and making the fixed roof a "semi-fixed roof" as it will be removable, replaced by a convertible waterfall that will be interchangeable. When the conversion is done, if there are those who like it and would like to see it replicated, I will most likely be offering the conversion for you as well. This essentially makes the FRC a convertible with a bitching roll bar exposed. STAY TUNED!!!

****I will also be selling my OEM parts. The roof will be painted (any color for extra $$$). The back glass has $200 worth of tint on it. Quarter panels are undamaged. Interior pieces I am not sure about, as I may or may not use them. Put in your 2 cents NOW if you'd like any of these parts. All paintable parts can be sold painted for extra $$$! Any questions, PM me.****

-Brian
