Default Input please

My son and I are looking at Corvettes, The only thing we don't like are the C4 square tail light models. In looking at all these, I'm not a body work fan. Engines, trans, etc I'm all in

I'm looking for some input either way - what to stay away from or what's the best bet. I plan on using it until he is out of college and then giving it to him. Which is about 7 years away.

wasn't thinking that detailed.....

budget - up to 25k otherwise I'd just buy a new one

occasional rider. investment of sort. When my son graduates I give it to him and would like it to be one that is of interest on the market

aside from what I posted I'm pretty open. I've seen Edmund's top 10 and that's all well and good, I'm asking the forum because Edmund's doesn't live the Vette. You guys have the inside details, etc.

Honestly I'm old Pontiac, never owned a Chevy in my life. So I don't have the background on the Vette I'm doing this for my son. He's 15 loves Vettes and obviously he can't have one until he's out of the high insurance bracket. So a college graduation present is perfect, it will just be in my garage getting a ride once in a while until then. Most of my cars have very low mileage. I just want to have some input so I can figure out my top 5 list.

A 50th Anniversay Edition should keep both of you happy:

Welcome to CF!

If you want an investment and a fun car, I'd go a bit over budget and grab one of these:
