Default A Better Introduction

Now that I have navigated the corvette forum a bit, I feel better about jumping right in. I look forward to sharing experiences and learning from the veteran's in this forum. Thanks to the forum operators and all the mods. I know from experience how much work goes into keeping a forum active and successful.

My last two performance vehicles were an 09 SRT8 Grand Cherokee which was very fast. I replaced that with an 11 CTS-V coupe, partly because I could get it with a manual transmission (I like driving my cars).

The wife had a Mercedes SL-550, which was nice, but we had the top down about twice and the paddle shift automatic does not fit either of our driving styles.

I wish we could have kept them all, but we needed to limit the performance car insurance, and upkeep. So we decided, over a year ago, the colors and options we wanted on our Z06, when Chevy was still months away from delivering them.

I included a pick of the wife and I taking delivery of our new baby in Las Vegas last month. This is our first Vette and and we are in love... with the car too.

Looks great! Love the contrast of the interior and the exterior. Not a silver/gray fan, but who could refuse that color combination?

Glad that you are enjoying the Corvette and yes, manual transmissions are way more fun! I have 2 2014 Mercedes Benz GLK 350s, 2014 MB E350 Coupe, and a 2014 SLK350. All of them were EDP's (European deliveries) and are great cars. One thing I have noticed is that they are slightly more narrow than most American cars. But none the less, MB is pretty nice. I would like to see MB bring back manual transmissions, however I doubt that they will. If I could, I would give up the Mercedes or some of them, for a new C7 Z06.

I will post some more pics later. I am interested what people think of the body color match on the vents. It is quite different look than the midnight black vents.
