New Member: 64 Corvette Project
Greeting,
I recently purchased a 64 Corvette convertible (Project) and may need some guidance from this forum of experience members. Below are the primary drivers for taking on this project:
1. Work with my son on how things work and show him which end of a screwdriver to use. We started a blog to capture our progress and so my son can practice explaining in words what he has learned throughout the process (corvette.cordrey.org).
2. I enjoy convertibles and the corvette is the most appealing from the era of no emission constraints. This will allow me flexibility in the configuration...not a period accurate restoration and I plan to drive the car.
3. Preparing a fun car for my fixed income years...my M6 convertible cost me $500-$1K every time I visit the dealer. I can fix everything on the corvette without specialty analyzers or other complications.
Looking forward to seeing your activity and any feedback on challenges I may face.
