After a long time searching, I finally pulled the trigger early this week and bought my first Vette.
I bought a new-to-me 2013 60th Anniversary Edition Grand Sport Coupe. It is loaded to the max with the 4LT interior package, chrome wheels, 60th anniversary stripe kit, manual trans plus a few other things. It came with the original window sticker too.
Best news for me is that it had less than 3,200 miles on it and is still covered under the 3/36 original bumper-to-bumper warranty for another 20 months. So far, I'm very happy with it.
I also have a Factory Five 'Cobra' replica that I built about 10 years ago. I thought that it was time for me to have a real high performance sports car that not only has A/C but it also has a roof. Summertime in Florida gives us a mid-afternoon rain shower almost daily. Consequently, I hardly ever drive the Cobra in the summer.
I will be joining the Citrus County Corvette Club on Tuesday. I already know at least a dozen members already. Really looking forward to hanging around with other Corvette owners / enthusiasts.
The salesman told me they did an oil change, but it was leaving oil spots so I decided to check for the source. There was oil dripping from the oil filter, so I put in 10 quarts of Mobll1 and a new Mobil1 oil filter. Hopefully, I did a better job of putting on the oil filter than the last person did.
Fortunately, a good friend of mine told me about the 'hockey pucks' and lent me his set.
