Default My first Corvette!!

I finally got one! I was going to wait and get a C7, but I went ahead and bought a used C6.

This hasn't been the ownership experience I imagined, but it has been an adventure.

Went to Houston to meet the guy at the bank and the car broke down on the way. Luckily I hadn't taken ownership yet. I had hesitation on buying it after that, but I went ahead and made the purchase. He put it on a flatbed and shipped it to my house about 100 miles away. He said he knew what was wrong with it and purchased the part and sent it to me (TRG-002). The wife wasn't happy and told me I bought a paper weight.

Got the part installed and fired it up! Shes a beast. Its a 2005 lmb z51 with a built ls3 engine. The second time I drove it the power steering hose or pump failed. Not sure which yet, but I'm betting its the high pressure hose. Waiting on the part to arrive.

Needless to say I'm getting the full realization of the project I purchased. I hope to get it up and running and somewhat reliable.

Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated! Ill post pics when I can get it out of the garage

Welcome and Good luck!

I just inherited a project car from my dad so I know your pain... the wife doesn't know how much work it's going to take to get it up and running the way I want it to but... oh well!

I replaced the high pressure hose and the power steering pump. Also noticed the return line from the rack was loose. Everything is back together and no leaks. This was not a fun job, but I'm glad it's done.
