Bob McKenna here. I had a 1974 Corvette coupe back in the19080's for a few years, but had to pursue family and career so I sold it. Ithad been great fun to drive even in Massachusetts in the winter. Prior to thatI had owned a 1964 Jaguar XKE roadster. That was cool, but the Corvette wasbetter. About 5 months ago I purchased a 1971 Corvette big block coupewith a four speed transmission to get back into the game that I had beenmissing. I found the car on the internet, went to Masterpiece Vintage Cars in Indianapolisto see it and drive it, and then had it shipped home. The weather in Michiganhas not been conducive for driving it yet (only one trip to the gas stationbefore the weather turned bad). This is a numbers matching car that has spent some time inthe Rick Hendrick's collection. It is generally in good shape but it needs someTLC (e.g. Paint, Carpet, inside door panels, seat covers a radio rebuild, etc.)to bring it up to snuff. Most of the parts I have ordered so far have come in andwhen the weather warms I will start some serious work on it. In browsing the CF for the past couple of months I have cometo learn that this is the place for help and advice, so I will be in touch. Although I know I shouldn't I am also posting this 'Hello' inthe C3 Forum to introduce myself to those I will be interacting with.
