Just (about a month ago) finally got myself my first Vette, an '08 manual coupe in Red/Blk with LS3, 2LT plus transparent roof. It was an in-state (FL) 1-owner car with 24K miles, in really awesome condition.
I grew up in Detroit, my 1st car was a like-new '70 Nova SS (my dad's best buddy was a GM draftsman and got a new car every year), and I wrenched my way through high school and college on Detroit iron, but somehow I never got around to getting a Vette before. I also have an '05 Porsche Carrera which has been my daily driver since '09, and planning on keeping it too. Nice thing about Florida is these kinds of cars can be driven all year without any hassle.
I've gotten a lot of great tips from the Porsche forum (and given a few back, I'm a DIY-er), and it looks this is a great forum also.
