West Texas C3 here
I had even even confirmed once before that I could register it if I were to put the effort into it to get it on the road, but lost interest half way through assembling the interior. Now I'm back into it, and buying parts. Perhaps I'll even be able to drive it today.
The subject is a 77, probably the last year of Corvette I can get excited about. Funny, as that's also the last year of Camaro for me, too. It's rough. The urethane is pretty beat up, sagging, but there. Somebody blew a tire and took a chunk out of the passenger quarter. Not more than the base of the flare, but it's still a chunk. The interior was stripped for the most part, door panels are a lost cause, and the whole dash was laying in the back of it. Aside from there being a chunk knocked out of the base of the steering column, I was able to take it apart and correct some problems in the tilt/telescope mechanism, while installing a lock cylinder, which was missing. Had to make a rod to lock the telescope key, as it was missing, too. I put a screw in it to jam it with my lock ring press so I could set the retainer in, I think that was the primary reason why it was improperly assembled.
I'll be putting a fuel pump in it today. Someone tossed the original intake in favor of an Edelbrock piece, with an adapter and some modern AFB variant carb. All of the AC compressor brackets are missing, lines are cut, and the valve covers have been replaced with cheap China chrome. I'd like to get air back together in it, as well as a factory intake and carb. I'm guessing they came with a Quadrajet?
So that's the short version. I'm a long ways from having something I can take out on the highway. I look forward to asking lots of stupid questions, and many hours of searching prior to. Thanks for the opportunity to joint the community here.

Good luck with your project.

It's a Holley, not an AFB. Just goes to show I hadn't been under the hood in a while. It was missing a fuel transfer O-ring, and I had to bend the tab on the primary float to get it to adjust properly, but it runs. I was able to cautiously drive it around the block, but I'm hooked.
Now I need to get it to stop.
