The car came with the top of the 7.3 L. off and a cast iron head on the right side. Got a new LT head right away. Finished building the top, only about half the parts were in the car. Want to fire off the engine before attacking the rest of the mess. Still unsure of some of the vacuum hoses but was able to temp. bypass them. Installed the Battery, oil, and gas but the thing won't crank. Suspect it's something to do with the security system. Can't find the security lock-out relay. Looked in several places per the internet but no joy. Don't know how the "security" dash light is suppose to respond at opening the doors, inserting the key,or turning to ignition. Didn't get a door key so it might be in alarm right now and I can't disarm w/o the key. Going to get a key made today.
Previous owner was trying to install a "super" sound system so the interior was a mess with battery size cables running from front to rear. No radio and several wire splices under dash. Looking for a proper wiring diagram for the car. Been able to find bits and pieces on the internet.
Still in the early stages of the rebuild. Nice to have someone to chat with as I go along who maybe has been there and done that.
